History of Farmers Club International
A Journey of Empowerment, Innovation, and Global Impact
Farmers Club International (FCI) was born out of a vision to transform agriculture into a business-driven and inclusive sector capable of empowering communities and fostering global food security. The organization was established in 2013 by its visionary Founder and President, Mr. Kehinde Olusegun Gabriel, who recognized the urgent need to bridge gaps in agricultural value chains and address challenges such as food insecurity, unemployment, and conflict between farming communities.

The Early Years: Building the Foundation (2013–2017)
The journey began with a simple but powerful idea: to create a platform that unites farmers, stakeholders, and agricultural cooperatives under one umbrella. Initially operating at the grassroots level, FCI focused on empowering small-scale farmers by offering training, resources, and access to markets.
In 2017, Farmers Club International was officially registered and certified by the Nigerian government, marking a significant milestone in its evolution. This formal recognition laid the groundwork for expanding its reach and impact across Nigeria and beyond.

Expanding Horizons: National and International Growth (2017–2020)
Following its certification, FCI rapidly grew its membership base, establishing a presence in all 36 states of Nigeria. The organization began to implement large-scale programs aimed at transforming agriculture into a viable business model.
During this period, FCI also ventured into international collaborations, establishing partnerships in African countries, Europe, and the United States. These partnerships enabled the organization to exchange knowledge, promote exports, and adopt global best practices in sustainable agriculture.

Empowering Communities: Women, Youth, and Peacebuilding (2020–Present)
As the organization matured, its focus expanded to include key societal challenges. FCI initiated programs to empower women and youth, providing them with skills and opportunities to thrive in agricultural businesses.
The organization also played a pivotal role in promoting peacebuilding between crop farmers and livestock herders, addressing longstanding conflicts through dialogue and collaboration.
Today, Farmers Club International boasts a membership database of over 18,000 individuals and continues to champion initiatives that promote climate-smart agriculture, food security, and intergenerational leadership.

With its robust network, innovative programs, and unwavering leadership, the organization is well-positioned to shape the future of agriculture both in Nigeria and globally.
